Responsibilities
- Manage the entire closing process for real estate transactions, including title review, document preparation, and final settlement procedures
- Conduct thorough title searches using public records, title records, and GIS mapping software to verify property ownership and legal descriptions
- Review legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way, and other real estate documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines
- Utilize real estate transaction management software and title processing tools to track progress and maintain detailed records of each closing
- Communicate effectively with clients, agents, attorneys, lenders, and other stakeholders to coordinate closing activities and address any issues promptly
- Ensure adherence to all legal requirements related to real estate law, title review standards, and underwriting guidelines during the closing process
- Perform research on public records and title histories as needed to resolve discrepancies or clarify ownership details
Qualifications
- Proven experience in real estate transaction management or closings, with a strong understanding of title search procedures and legal descriptions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting purposes
- Familiarity with real estate law, easements, rights-of-way, and legal descriptions relevant to property transactions
- Experience using GIS mapping software or mapping tools for property analysis is preferred
- Knowledge of title search processes, title records review, and public records research techniques
- Ability to work meticulously while managing multiple closings simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Excellent client communication skills paired with a customer service-oriented approach
