About the Role
As an Assistant Manager, you'll work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, develop your team, and drive performance. This is a hands-on leadership role with real responsibility and a clear path to General Manager.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and coach crew members and shift leads
- Assist with onboarding, and training of new team members
- Manage daily operations including food prep, inventory, and ordering
- Ensure compliance with Subway brand standards, food safety, and sanitation requirements
- Handle scheduling support, and cash management
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
- Step in as acting manager in the General Manager's absence
- Help drive sales, control food costs, and achieve store targets
- Communicate performance feedback and hold team members accountable
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and staff
What We're Looking For
- 1 year of supervisory experience in food service or retail preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lead by example and hold team members accountable
- Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment
- Proficiency with basic computer tasks including scheduling software, email, and reporting
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 18 or older
