Duties
- Safely operate vehicles & equipment to remove & transport deceased persons.
- Coordinate with dispatch, hospitals, and family representatives to preform pickups and drop-offs efficiently.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
- Assist with loading and unloading bodies using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury and maintain dignity.
- Communicate clearly with team members and clients to confirm transport details and address any special requests or concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs of all transports, vehicle mileage, and condition reports in compliance with company policies.
- Uphold respectful conduct at all times, demonstrating sensitivity and professionalism during all interactions.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in Mortuary, Nursing or First Responder is a huge advantage
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physical stamina is essential.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with families, team members, and external partners.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with empathy and discretion when handling sensitive situations.
