Suburban Ford of Romeo is seeking an experienced Windshield / Auto Glass Technician to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality repairs and installations while providing world-class
customer service to our valued customers.

What You’ll Do:
- Install windshields and automotive glass in our shop and through a mobile service unit
- Repair rock chips and other minor glass damage
- Perform automotive window tint installations, including side windows, rear glass, and windshields (where permitted)
- Prepare glass surfaces by thoroughly cleaning and removing contaminants prior to glass or tint installation
- Remove and replace existing glass or window tint when required
- Cut, shape, and apply window tint film using proper tools and techniques to ensure a high-quality, bubble-free finish
- Calibrate advanced vehicle electronics and safety systems, including ADAS, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and similar technologies
- Ensure all glass and tint work meets dealership quality standards and state/local regulations
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, adhesion, and appearance
- Process payments from mobile service customers (if applicable)
- Interact professionally with customers to explain services, care instructions, and answer questions
- Maintain a professional appearance, clean work area, and positive attitude
- Deliver World Class customer service to customers and vendors at all times
Required Qualifications:
- 2 year of automotive glass installation experience
- 2 year of automotive window tinting experience (certification or formal training a plus)
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to pass an MVR check
- Proficiency working with multiple types of automotive glass
- Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques used in glass repair and replacement
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and work ethic
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Comfortable with the physical demands of the job
What We’re Looking For:
- 2 year of automotive glass installation experience
- Experience working with multiple types of automotive glass
- Experience with window tinting
- Strong working knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques used in glass repair and replacement
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR
- Comfortable with the physical demands of the job
- Dependable, professional, and customer-oriented
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to maneuver safely around vehicles during installations
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Ability to work for extended periods of time
- Willingness to work in hot and cold weather conditions as needed
