The Role – Accounting Specialist II
The Accounting Specialist II leads accounts payable and accounts receivable functions while ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and on time. This role supports general accounting activities, assists with month-end processes, maintains financial records, and collaborates across departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes. The Accounting Specialist II helps maintain strong financial controls, supports operational efficiency, and contributes to overall financial accuracy.

The Role – Accounting Specialist II
The Accounting Specialist II leads accounts payable and accounts receivable functions while ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and on time. This role supports general accounting activities, assists with month-end processes, maintains financial records, and collaborates across departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes. The Accounting Specialist II helps maintain strong financial controls, supports operational efficiency, and contributes to overall financial accuracy.
What You'll Do
- Record vendor invoices and process payment to vendors.
- Record transactions on company issued credit cards daily and process payment to credit card company monthly.
- Process employee expense reports for reimbursement.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Accounts Payable module within the accounting information system and be a go-to resource.
- Process all payments received and apply to proper accounts.
- Prepare customer-aging reporting to other members of the company.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Accounts Receivable module within the accounting information system and be a go-to resource.
- Learn the payroll process and act as a backup to the payroll coordinator.
- Associate’s degree in accounting, and/or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Knowledge of how modules within accounting information systems connect.
- The ability to multitask and establish priorities.
