Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems, with a strong understanding of NEC codes, schematics, and blueprint reading. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects. Candidates should possess a solid background in low and high voltage electrical work, with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and schematics. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and industrial electrician experience is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including construction sites, renovations, and large-scale industrial facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and maintenance
- Work with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC standards
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues
- Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components
- Perform wiring for renovation projects and new construction sites
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure electrical safety standards are met
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades such as frame carpentry or maintenance person services for seamless project execution
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference
Experience
- Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong understanding of NEC regulations
- Commercial electrician experience preferred
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites involving renovation or new builds
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with low voltage systems, high voltage systems, PLCs, and schematics is essential
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices
- Construction site experience including framing carpentry or maintenance person work is a plus
- Knowledge of NEC codes related to both low and high voltage installations
