Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our team and gain hands-on experience in electrical systems across various construction and industrial settings. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites and industrial facilities.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support project execution.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Support framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites or industrial projects to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Experience
- Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required.
- Experience working on construction sites or in construction environments is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams is beneficial.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, low voltage systems, high voltage systems, and the use of testing instruments like ohmmeters is a plus.
- Strong interest in learning about NEC standards, electrical codes, and safety procedures related to electrical work.
- Previous experience in framing carpentry or working with schematics will be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
