DESIGNER (NATURAL GAS)

Title: Designer

Reports to: Project Manager/Private Natural Gas Utility Client

Location: Phillipsburg, NJ (Client Office)

Salary Range: $33 – $35/hr, based on experience and qualifications

Brief Description

SCE is currently seeking a Designer in our Client’s office location near Phillipsburg, NJ. The Designer will work collaboratively as a member of our team providing essential support to one of SCE’s Utility Client’s sales and engineering departments in a fast-paced work environment.

In this role, the Designer will be responsible for designing new gas main and service installations under the direction of the Client. The Designer routinely performs all basic design tasks including sizing calculations and preparation of plans. Other related design duties may be required as needed. Candidates must have the ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods.

Examples Of Work/duties

• Receive and review load criteria provided by customers.
• Perform standard computations or analysis in Client-provided software to properly size new main and service installations.
• Prepare drawings and visual aids for main and service location installations.
• Input design data and information into Client-provided project management software.

Requirements (education, Licensing, Certifications, Etc.)

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Engineering.
• 0-6 Years of related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD.
  
  

This is a full-time position located at our Client’s office in Phillipsburg, NJ. The work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, but may vary on client’s needs. SCE offers excellent compensation and benefit packages including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays for this position.
