What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Assistant - Eden position at SUBURBAN ADULT SERVICES INC.?
Summary of Duties:
Assists with production/production related tasks as assigned. The Production Assistant participates in the manufacturing of agency products. Responsibilities include the operations and maintenance of assigned machinery/equipment. Ensures the quality and quantity of items produced meet with established production and Q.A. standards. Completes required set up and clean up procedures.
Reporting Relationships:
The Production Assistant receives service, administrative, and task supervision from the Production Supervisor/Customer Service Representative.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Assist in materials handling, job set up and quality control.
2. Before each shift reviews prior shift log entry and completes start-up checklist to ensure required safety/environmental standards are met before initiating production.
3. Maintains established quality standards on all finished product.
4. Maintains a safe working environment throughout the shift.
5. Performs basic mechanical adjustments and cleaning procedures during production to assure consistent product quality, safety and minimized waste of raw materials.
6. Notifies program staff of any observed individual’s deficits requiring additional training/intervention.
7. Maintains daily production records as assigned.
8. Completes all product labeling as work is produced and maintains daily material utilization/product output tracking sheets.
9. Secures work area at shift end including clean-up and equipment shut-down as appropriate.
Other Job Duties:
10. May be responsible for shipping and receiving of customer order(s).
11. May prepare reports for inventory, commercial and government interests.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Extraordinary Work Conditions:
Travel between facilities on as needed basis. May be required to work irregular schedule to accommodate agency needs.
Qualifications:
High school or GED OR related experience in machine operation and/or manufacturing.
Proficient in math, writing and computer skills.
