What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing and Communication Specialist position at SUBURBAN ADULT SERVICES INC.?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Assist with the generation of online content that engages audience segments and leads to measurable action.
2. Assist with development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including but not limited to brochures, annual report and sasi’s websites, social media, and the Exchange (employee intranet).
3. Provide/obtain new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) and post regularly on sasi digital platforms.
4. Establish and maintain active and regular communication and outreach with sasi staff through the Exchange (employee intranet), email, video display boards and posted materials.
5. Regularly visit sasi locations and attend sasi events or activities, take photos and video for marketing purposes.
6. Organize and maintain an up-to-date photo library for use in all areas of marketing.
7. Assist with the management of media contacts.
8. Assist with the creation of company literature and other forms of communication. Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
9. Copy, edit, proofread, and revise communications.
10. Assist with the design and development of email marketing campaigns.
11. Promote services through public and community relations initiatives.
12. Create and develop press releases, media relations content, and digital content.
13. Execute communications strategy for key media contacts and customer references.
14. Assist with community outreach.
15. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications and at least 2 years of relative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, ideally in an “in-house” role.
- Experience with a nonprofit entity, covering areas such as website content, social media and donor communications is preferred.

Education
Required- Associates or better in Marketing or related field
