Job Description:
STS is now hiring Personal Care Assistants to work at both Elementary and Secondary levels in Eastern Lancaster County SD.
In this role you will be required to work one to one or in a small group setting providing behavioral and academic support as directed.
**Experience with individuals with disabilities, and/or with students with physical outbursts, preferred.**
Open Positions:
- Autistic Support PCA (Elementary and Secondary)
- Life Skills PCA (Elementary)
Preferred candidate will:
- Prior knowledge of/willingness to learn how to apply a Positive Behavioral Support Plan as outlined in students IEP.
- Ability to work in a professional environment with special needs children.
- Ability to provide support with Applied Behavioral Analysis; collect data, fill out progress reports and daily logs.
- Ability to provide support to the student in various capacities; including but not limited to; personal care assistance, instructional support for previously introduced skills/lessons, progress monitoring and data collection.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected in the classroom teachers.
- Use of equipment as directed.
Qualifications and Required Documents
- Pennsylvania Criminal Records check (Act 34)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance History (Act 151)
- FBI Criminal History Record (Act 114)
- Proof of a TB test or chest x-ray that is less than 3 months old
- Proof of a high school diploma or higher education (copy of transcripts/diploma acceptable)
- Additional required STS documents will be provided during on boarding process
**Applicants MUST be available to work the full day and full schedule**
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hours:
- 7:10am-2:40pm, Secondary (unpaid, 30 min duty-free lunch)
- 8:30am-3:45pm, Elementary (unpaid, 30 min duty-free lunch)
Additional Training may be required dependent upon position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.65 - $16.75 per hour
