What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional position at Substitute Teacher Service?
Substitute Teacher Service Inc. is now hiring an elementary Paraeducator to work at West Creek Hills Elementary school in the East Pennsboro Area School District. Day to day job duties of a Paraprofessional/Paraeducator are determined by the classroom teacher or his/her designee, as they may vary depending upon the changing needs of the classroom(s), student(s), and/or school district.
Essential Functions
Essential duties and responsibilities of this position may vary in nature due to changes in schedule; student and/or district need, and include but are not limited to:
- Providing assistance to instructional programs by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve the skill levels of their educational goals.
- Assists the teacher in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.
- Monitoring student behavior, redirecting behavior, and maintaining a positive learning environment for students exhibiting challenging behaviors.
- Providing support to students with disabilities, implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), and assisting with related therapies.
- Provide personal care support with meal times and other duties, including toileting, as assigned by the teacher .
Schedule:
Monday - Friday following the 25/26 student calendar

Hours:
Elementary: 8:40am-3:40pm
