STS is currently interviewing for a full time 1st shift Custodian to work district-wide Monday through Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm, in the Northeastern School District. The person hired for this role will be required to travel to each school in the District, covering custodial absences.
This role is to provide a safe, orderly, sanitary environment that is conducive to learning for all students and staff.
Overtime opportunities available based upon 2nd shift custodial absences.
Pay rate starting at $17.50 but is negotiable based upon relevant job experience.
Qualifications
- Two (2) years experience in custodial services (preferred)
- High School diploma or equivalency required
- Other education/experience as accepted by the school board and administration
Summary
In the role of Custodial Maintenance, you will be essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment within our facilities, particularly in a school setting. Your core skills in cleaning, janitorial, and custodial experience will be vital as you perform floor care and commercial cleaning tasks. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with relevant custodial experience. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of school facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, and hallways.
- Ensure proper floor care through sweeping, mopping, and buffing as needed.
- Handle custodial tasks with attention to detail, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.
- Assist with industrial cleaning and facilities maintenance as required.
- Collaborate with staff to address cleaning needs and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for students and visitors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Buildings and Grounds, Director of Buildings and Grounds, CFOO, and/or Superintendent of Schools.
Must have reliable transportation - serious inquiries only.
