Position Overview 

The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting and improving product and process quality through data-driven analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and the application of Lean and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies. This role partners cross-functionally to identify trends, reduce variation, and drive sustainable improvements in quality, efficiency, and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quality from multiple sources including database backend.
  • Process raw data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Develop and maintain charts, dashboards, and statistical reports to support decision-making
  • Apply data mining and advanced data analysis techniques to support root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Lead or support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives using Lean tools and methodologies
  • Utilize quality and CI tools such as SPC, Pareto analysis, FMEA, root cause analysis, and value stream mapping
  • Define and track metrics during the implementation phase of CI projects
  • Support problem-solving activities and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and applicable regulatory or industry requirements
  • Document and communicate findings, recommendations, and improvement results clearly and effectively.
Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering, mathematics, or a related technical discipline
  • 3–5 years of experience in a Quality Engineer or similar quality-focused role
  • Strong data mining, data analysis, and charting skills
  • Proficiency in using data to drive decisions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Solid knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure cross-functional collaboration Familiarity with statistical software or data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel, Power BI, or similar)
  • Capability to move data from a SQL database backend or similar. 
  • Prior hands-on experience leading or significantly contributing to Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
  • Experience working in a Lean or CI-driven environment
  • Previous industry experience building KPIs, automating data, and/or use of AI to support data handling
  • Data-driven mindset
