Responsibilities:
- Substitute teacher must deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher, ensuring continuity in students' education.
- Substitute teacher must adapt to different classroom environments and grade levels, maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere.
- Substitute teacher must manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.
- Substitute teacher must communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.
- Substitute teacher must follow school district policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma with 2.0 GPA or higher.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must provide three (3) professional references.
- Must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must have proof of a completed background check for the State Department of Education. Typically includes a fingerprint-based criminal background check, which often includes child abuse and neglect registry check, or as required by state law and/or school district policy.
- Must have proof of results of TB, drug, or other tests required for the State Department of Education.
- Must have a current Substitute License or Authorization, if available in your state.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different educational settings and grade levels.
- Passion for education and making a positive impact on students' lives.
Desired
- Previous experience in teaching or substitute teaching is highly desirable.
