About the Role:
The Procurement Analyst plays a critical role in optimizing organizational spend through rigorous analysis of pricing, purchase price variance, and cost savings initiatives. This position is responsible for monitoring tariffs and inflation impacts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering critical insights to leadership that drive strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate possesses at least 3-5 years of relevant experience, a robust background in procurement or finance, and expertise in Microsoft Excel and Power BI. A high level of analytical acumen and the ability to communicate complex data in a clear, actionable manner are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of pricing data, purchase price variances, and cost-saving opportunities utilizing advanced Excel functions and Power BI data visualization.
- Analyze business performance using internal data sources, quantifying gaps vs targets and identifying underlying drivers
- Partner directly with Contract Manufacturing and Supplier teams to review pricing and quarterly trends
- Synthesize analysis into insights and recommendations utilizing concise reports, dashboards, and presentations that clearly summarize findings and trends for leadership
- Structure, filter, and interpret large, complex datasets to identify key insights that support strategic decision-making and continuous process improvement.
- Develop and refine analytical tools and dashboards to streamline reporting and enhance visibility into procurement metrics.
- Collaborate proactively with finance and procurement departments to ensure analyses align with strategic organizational objectives and budgetary goals.
- Engage with planning, R&D, project management, and innovation teams to gather requirements, provide data-driven support, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
- Monitor, track, and report on tariffs, inflation trends, and other market factors impacting procurement costs, providing timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in procurement, finance, or a comparable analytical role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data modeling, advanced formulas, etc.) and experience with Power BI preferred (dashboard creation, data visualization, etc.).
- Highly structured problem-solver with strong attention to detail and data integrity.
- Comfortable operating independently in fast moving white space environment; asks strong questions and creates clarity.
- Strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and data filtering skills, with a demonstrated ability to transform complex data into actionable business insights.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, adept at preparing reports and collaborating with diverse teams.

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000 per year. In addition, this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
