What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at Styme International Industries?
Styme Industries Inc. in Kimball, MN has an immediate opening for a full time mig/tig welder. First and second shift! We are a custom metal fabrication company seeking a hard-working individual to join our team. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to work on a large variety of parts and utilize a variety of welding techniques on various materials. Competitive pay based on qualifications. Responsibilities
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Set up components for welding according to specifications
- Operate angle grinders and other tools to prepare parts that must be welded
- Align components using measuring devices, clamps, or fixtures
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures to verify print requirements have been satisfied (dimensional tolerances, welding codes, etc.)
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Requirements
- 1 years of experience tig welding preferred
- Strong work ethic
- Experience using electrical, pneumatic, or manual hand tools and measuring equipment
- Knowledge of safety standards
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints
- Experience using a variety of weld techniques and procedures
First shift: 4 AM - 2:30 PM MON-FRI (4 day workweek)
Second shift: 6 AM - 3:30 PM MON - THUR, 6 AM- 10 AM FRI
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
