What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Officer position at Style Saves?
Job Summary
Helps plan and implement fundraising programs for Style Saves. Identifies prospects and solicitations, proposal development, mobilization of outside support, and coordination of internal support activities.
Minimum Qualifications
-Bachelors degree and five (5) years of experience in fundraising, sales, community relations, and/or related environment

-Must attend meetings out of the office and occasionally attend functions on weekends and evening

KSA’s
-Knowledge of advanced features in Microsoft Office Suite SharePoint -Knowledge of donor management systems such as DonorPerfect to maintain accurate and up-to-date records
-Knowledge to design and distribute professional communications and newsletters using platforms such as Mailchimp
-Knowledge of CRM
-Knowledge of Style Saves policy, procedures, and regulations
-Knowledge of fundraising techniques
-Ability to handle information of sensitive and confidential nature in the utmost professional manner.

Duties
-Provide high-level administrative support, ensuring deadlines are met and priorities are aligned with organizational goals
-Analyzes statistics on giving trends and recommends new strategies based on new trends -Responsible for building a portfolio and working with discovery assignments -Collaborates with Annual Giving to strategically move annual donors with capacity towards major gifts on behalf of Style Saves
-Maintains prospect and donor data at the highest level of confidentiality -Performs other related duties as assigned or directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the positon. -Identifies and cultivates donors to bolster financial support for Style Save’s programs -Monitors progress towards achieving revenue goals. Reports regularly to the lead of Marketing and CEO.
-Designs specific development projects for Style Saves including strategies and targets for fundraising and recognition activities.
-Works with leadership in establishing fundraising goals and researching philanthropic trends which affect organizational priorities.
-Assists in the development of sound development plans and procedures to ensure efficient pursuit of funding.
- Develop and implement stewardship plans to maintain and deepen donor relationships -Coordinate donor acknowledgment and recognition efforts, including thank-you letters, gift receipts, and impact reports
-Assist in the creation and management of targeted fundraising campaigns (e.g., year-end giving, Giving Tuesday, capital campaigns)
-Collaborate with marketing to ensure consistent messaging and branding in fundraising materials
-Support board members and fundraising committees in their outreach efforts -Train and coordinate volunteers for fundraising events and donor engagement activities -Create and present regular reports on campaign performance, donor retention, and engagement metrics to leadership
-Use data insights to inform fundraising strategy and refine outreach efforts -Maintains sensitive interactions with a variety of internal and external contacts. Serves as liaison with other departments as needed for special events, proposals, and programs. -Conducts research and stays abreast of prospective donors.
-Plan, coordinate, and execute events from concept to completion, ensuring smooth logistics and timely delivery
-Manage and track budgets using Excel, ensuring financial accountability and reporting accuracy
-Create and maintain shared documents and workflows using Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive for cross-functional collaboration
