- Check Storm Water Management Reports and plans for roadway, transit, rail, and culvert/bridge projects.
- Perform quality control for hydrologic & hydraulic studies, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports
- Coordinate permitting through various water management agencies
- Participate in project development meetings with clients
- Mentor technical staff
- Establishing working relationships and interfacing with client technical staff and project managers
- Experience with green stormwater, and erosion and sediment control techniques is a plus
- Using hydrologic and hydraulic software such as Geopak Drainage, StormCAD, and HEC-RAS modeling to check work performed by technical staff
- Developing the strategy for hydro growth and project delivery, including resource allocation and work planning for traditional and design-build projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction
- Candidate should possess knowledge and experience of NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and Local government design and permitting requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and (Civil, Biological, Agricultural, or another related discipline)
- A minimum of 15 years of experience of Water Resources and Storm Water Design Engineering - design of storm drains, culverts, storm water management, BMPs, , hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and Floodplain studies, and cost estimating
- NC PE license is required
