Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of various meats, including trimming, slicing, and portioning to meet quality standards.
- Operate meat processing machines safely and efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance and sanitation.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to maintain a clean work environment and prevent contamination.
- Package meat products accurately, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
- Conduct visual inspections for quality control, checking for freshness, appearance, and any signs of spoilage or defects.
- Support inventory management by handling perishable goods carefully and managing stock levels according to store needs.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential!
- Familiarity with meat processing machine operation, slicing techniques, and knife skills is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic math for measurements, weights, and pricing calculations accurately.
- Understanding of food safety management practices including sanitizing procedures and quality inspection standards.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on visual inspection for quality control of perishable goods.
