Sturm Heating and Air conditioning is looking for a Residential Service Technician.
The Residential Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment and systems in customers’ homes. This role focuses on troubleshooting issues, performing service calls, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential systems such as internet, cable, satellite, security, HVAC, or smart home devices
- Respond to service calls and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently
- Perform maintenance and upgrades on existing systems
- Test equipment to ensure proper functionality after repairs
- Educate customers on system use and preventative care
- Document service calls, repairs, and parts used accurately
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
- Follow safety guidelines and company procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Previous experience in service, maintenance, or technical repair roles
- Knowledge of electrical systems, networking, or mechanical systems (depending on industry)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background and drug screening (if required)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Time management and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in various environments (indoors, outdoors, confined spaces, heights)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
