Machine Operator (Food Manufacturing)

PLEASE NOTE: This is a day shift Hours are Tues-Fri 8am- 630pm.

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery in a manufacturing environment. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate machine that packages product.
• Remove completed or defective products.
• Adjust machine settings
• Identify machine faults and checking packages on the production line for quality
• Appropriately package the food to minimize breakage and movement during shipping
• Ensure the integrity and cleanliness of the containers before they are shipped out to retailers
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
• Seal and label containers with the appropriate materials.
• Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards
• Assist with cleaning duties as assigned. The team member will be responsible for their immediate area during standard production and will be assisting with equipment and facility cleaning as needed and directed during full cleaning periods
• Work and learn other areas of production as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand on their feet throughout their entire shifts.
• Previous production line experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• General knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety.
• Good hand-eye coordination to perform job at a fast pace.
• Lift at least 50lbs.
• Must be detail oriented and notice even the smallest of issues that may become bigger problems in the future.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
