Duties
- Safely operate Dump trucks, tractor-trailers heavyhaul following DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured according to logistics cargo handling standards
- Deliver freight accurately to various destinations while maintaining excellent customer service and communication skills
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks, trailers, and cargo to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with DOT regulations
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and handle manual loading/unloading processes
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving
- Strong navigation skills using GPS systems for route planning
- Excellent manual handling skills for load & unload operations involving freight or logistics cargo handling
