Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Curriculum and Training Specialist to join our High-Dosage Tutoring (HDT) team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of our Science of Reading-based K-5 literacy curriculum across multiple school districts. The ideal candidate will combine educational expertise with operational excellence to ensure high-quality tutoring experiences for students and professional development for our tutoring staff.

Responsibilities
Curriculum Development & Support
- Maintain and update K-5 Science of Reading curriculum maps across five core literacy pillars: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension
- Align curriculum content with quarterly assessment schedules (Q1-Q4) and state educational standards
- Develop grade-specific instructional materials and resources for grades K-5
- Ensure curriculum compliance with district-specific priorities and state initiatives
- Create and refine lesson plans optimized for 30-minute small-group (1:4) tutoring sessions
Training Design & Implementation
- Design and deliver professional development programs for tutors, lead tutors, and district managers
- Develop training materials for the 5-component lesson structure and "I Do, We Do, You Do" gradual release model
- Create onboarding programs for new staff members across all organizational levels
- Support implementation of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and evidence-based practices
- Facilitate ongoing professional development sessions and workshops
Quality Assurance & Assessment
- Monitor curriculum implementation effectiveness across multiple districts
- Provide feedback and recommendations for curriculum improvements
- Ensure consistency in instructional delivery across all tutoring sites
- Support data-driven decision-making for curriculum enhancements
Resource Management
- Maintain digital curriculum libraries and resource databases
- Coordinate with the Curriculum Director on resource allocation and distribution
- Update training materials based on feedback and performance data
- Manage curriculum-related technology platforms and tools
- Support the integration of new educational technologies and methodologies
Stakeholder Support
- Provide direct support to Lead Tutors on curriculum-related questions
- Collaborate with District Managers on implementation challenges
- Assist with tutor performance evaluations related to curriculum adherence
- Support client communications regarding curriculum updates and improvements
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in curriculum development or educational training
- Experience with Science of Reading methodologies and evidence-based literacy instruction
- Prior experience in K-5 education or elementary literacy instruction
- Deep understanding of the five pillars of reading instruction
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction strategies
- Experience with small-group instructional models
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in curriculum mapping and alignment
- Experience with learning management systems and educational technology platforms
- Strong data analysis skills for assessment interpretation
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and presentation software
- Familiarity with StudyTrack or similar tutoring management systems (preferred)

USD $30.00 - USD $35.00 /Hr.
