Duties
- Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening supplies, and landscape materials based on their needs and preferences
- Maintain and organize plant displays, ensuring they are healthy, well-watered, and visually appealing
- Provide expert advice on lawn care, landscape maintenance, floral design, and horticulture best practices
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and retail math calculations
- Stock shelves with merchandise, manage inventory levels, and ensure proper merchandising standards
- Support e-commerce operations by processing online orders and coordinating pickup or delivery arrangements
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the garden center area both indoors and outdoors
- Assist with seasonal planting projects, floral arrangements, and other merchandising displays
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in gardening, horticulture, lawn care, or landscape maintenance is a must
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service in a retail setting
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels, merchandising displays, and store cleanliness effectively
- Basic proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math calculations
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of floral design or e-commerce platforms is a plus
- Physical ability to lift heavy merchandise, stand for extended periods, and perform outdoor tasks as needed
