What are the responsibilities and job description for the Acro/ Dance Instructor position at Studio West Dance Center?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance and Acro Instructors to join our team for the 2026-2027 season. As an Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students of all ages in various dance genres. Your role will involve creating engaging lesson plans, providing individualized instruction, and fostering a positive learning environment.
We are looking for someone skilled in Acro who can create an Acro program at the studio. The right candidate would be confident teaching either recreational classes and/or competition rehearsals.
Duties:
- Develop and implement acro lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to the needs of students
- Demonstrate proper acro techniques and skills
- Guide students in improving their flexibility, coordination, and rhythm
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure the safety of students during dance classes and rehearsals
Experience:
- Previous experience working with students in an acro or dance setting
- Strong ability to educate and inspire students of all ages
- Proficient in lesson planning and curriculum development
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members
