Hair Extension & Color Specialist - Independent Contractor / Commission Share Opportunity

Studio She is an established hair extension and color salon in Ellicott City, Maryland, looking for the right experienced stylist to join our space in a co-op / independent contractor arrangement.

This is not a traditional employee position. This opportunity is best suited for an experienced licensed cosmetologist who is already confident behind the chair, has strong client communication skills, and is interested in growing within an established salon environment without the full overhead of operating completely alone.

We specialize in luxury hair extensions, dimensional color, corrective color, blonding, and custom transformation work. The right person should care about quality, client experience, professionalism, and long-term hair health.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed cosmetologist in Maryland
• Has experience with hair color, blonding, and/or hair extensions
• Is professional, reliable, and client-focused
• Can work independently without heavy supervision
• Understands consultation, pricing, timing, and client retention
• Is interested in a commission-share or co-op style setup
• Has existing experience and ideally some clientele or referral potential
• Wants to grow inside an established salon brand with a luxury service focus

Preferred Experience

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:

• Hand-tied extensions
• K-tip extensions
• I-tip extensions
• Tape-in extensions
• Weft extensions
• Lived-in color
• Blonding
• Gray blending
• Corrective color
• Luxury client services

Important Details

This is an independent contractor opportunity, not a W-2 employee position. Compensation structure will be discussed with qualified candidates and may be based on commission share, service revenue, and/or other agreed-upon co-op terms.
