What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Architect — Remote (International) position at Studio RNB?
We're a growing architecture and engineering firm based in Atlanta seeking a Senior Architect to join our remote team. You'll work directly with firm leadership on residential and commercial projects across the United States.
Compensation: $6,000 USD/month (independent contractor, 1099)
What You'll Do:
- Lead schematic design through construction documents on residential and commercial projects
- Navigate U.S. building codes including IBC, IRC, fire/life safety, and ADA requirements
- Coordinate with clients and consultants, managing communication throughout project lifecycle
- Mentor and review work from junior team members
- Produce construction documents and shop drawings to U.S. standards
Requirements:
- 7 years of architectural experience, including U.S. project work
- Expert knowledge of U.S. building codes (IBC, IRC, NFPA, ADA)
- Proficiency in Revit (primary), AutoCAD, Rhino, and Bluebeam
- Strong design eye with portfolio demonstrating range
- Fluent English communication (written and verbal)
- Reliable internet and ability to overlap with U.S. Eastern Time hours
- Experience leading projects and coordinating teams
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Georgia and southeastern U.S. codes
- Experience with commercial tenant buildouts, residential additions, and ground-up construction
- NCARB certification or U.S. licensure path (not required)
