Duties
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Perform inventory management tasks including stock counting, inventory control, and updating records using warehouse management systems.
- Assist with order picking and packing to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment for shipping & receiving.
- Handle materials with care during stocking, heavy lifting, and packaging processes to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with OSHA standards and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on daily operations, including load & unload activities and warehouse distribution planning.
- Operate machinery with mechanical knowledge to support manufacturing or construction-related tasks when required.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of all inventory transactions and prepare reports as needed for warehouse management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or related fields such as manufacturing or construction is preferred.
- Able to read a tape measure and identify parts of an inch.
- Valid certification for forklift operation, reach truck, crane operation, or other heavy equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; familiarity with stock stocking, order picking & packing is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pallet jacks, material handling equipment, and packaging techniques.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for warehouse safety is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and shipping/receiving processes.
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or management roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
