Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic transportation team! Responsibilities
- Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks to transport freight across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks while adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records
- Follow planned routes efficiently while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules to meet deadlines
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery times or any issues encountered during transit
- Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents
Qualifications
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles with a focus on freight transportation
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types operated (e.g., tanker, flatbed)
- Skilled in driving manual transmission vehicles with proficiency in handling various truck configurations such as tractor-trailers and roll-off trucks
- Familiarity with operating specialized equipment like forklifts or dump trucks is a plus
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo handling
- Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while maintaining safety standards
- Strong route planning skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions
