What are the responsibilities and job description for the Piano Teacher position at Studio Horowitz LLC?
Our longtime, beautiful, thriving piano-only studio in Falls Church City is seeking a piano teacher to join us!
We are looking both for occasional/sub teachers as well as long-term/permanent teachers.
Acoustic grand pianos in every teaching studio. Beautiful huge studio space with home-like environment. Teaching support, guidance, and mentoring. Collaborative and friendly work atmosphere.
Full-service administrative support; we handle all billing and related tasks.
No required make-up lessons! No reduction in pay for student-missed lessons.
Starting pay of approximately $46 to $50 per hour for individual lessons. Higher pay for group classes and sub (temporary) assignments.
Pay will increase every year. Pay will increase 10% /- per year in second and third year. Long-term, we offer the best hourly pay and the best year-over-year pay of any similar studio. Longtime teachers earn $70 or even $80 per hour.
Our 10-month school year calendar lets you work during the summer session if you want; or you can take the summer off!
We are dedicated to in-person instruction. While we are still doing some limited remote-teaching, this position is best for someone who enjoys teaching in-person.
Degree in music with a focus on piano . Current grad students are warmly welcome to apply. Jazz experience, young child experience, classroom teaching experience, and adaptive teaching experience are all nice, but not required. Experience with traditional piano pedagogy is essential.
We're looking for someone who is seeking a long-term home. We will consider an earlier start, but our primary interest for the permanent position is for the 2025-26 school year (starts 8/22/25).
Contract Length:
- 1 year (thru June 2026). Will consider longer if the candidate wishes.
