Position Overview:
Studio D is seeking a passionate Hip Hop Dance Instructor to join our team and dance family. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hip hop and experience teaching dancers at beginning through advanced levels.
We are looking for someone who is outgoing, friendly, energetic, and able to create a fun, safe, and engaging class environment. The right candidate will inspire students, build confidence, and motivate dancers to do their best.
Responsibilities of the Hip Hop Dance Instructor:
- Teach all levels of hip hop on Monday evenings from 5:45–8:15 PM beginning on Monday, September 14, 2026
- Create and execute weekly lesson plans for hip hop classes
- Choreograph and teach hip hop routines for our annual recital
- Foster a safe, engaging, and positive class atmosphere
- Motivate and encourage students while maintaining strong classroom structure
- Communicate professionally and timely with studio leadership
Desired Skills & Experience of the Hip Hop Dance Instructor:
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in hip hop in a studio environment
- Strong background in hip hop dance and training
- Experience teaching a range of levels, from beginner through advanced
- Ability to choreograph age-appropriate, engaging routines
- Reliable, punctual, energetic, and professional
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Positive attitude and strong classroom management skills
- Ability to connect with students in a fun, encouraging, and supportive way
- Demonstrates patience, leadership, and professionalism
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
