Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced person to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, food preparation, and kitchen operations, with a focus on providing exceptional dining experiences. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and contributing to menu planning and meal presentation. A background in dietary or culinary arts, along with fine dining or restaurant experience, is highly desirable. The person will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining the integrity of our food service operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with attention to quality and presentation
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation to meet dietary needs and customer preferences
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to safety and sanitation standards
- Serve food efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knife skills for precise food preparation
- Support catering events and special functions as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas throughout shifts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary departments, catering, or food service environments preferred
- Culinary experience including food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices required
- Fine dining or restaurant experience is a plus
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal assembly, and food presentation techniques highly desirable
- Skills in food handling, knife skills, and meal preparation essential for success in this role
- Experience working with dietary restrictions or special diets is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
