We are a boutique residential interior design studio creating artful, adventurous homes with a strong emphasis on exceptional craftsmanship, collaboration, and above all, outstanding client service. Our studio goes far beyond creating beautiful rooms. We design deeply personalized environments where livable functionality meets joyful storytelling, resulting in spaces that are as meaningful as they are beautiful. We are seeking an Interior Designer to support our Founder and Lead Designer through every phase of the design process -from initial concept development to final installation. This role is ideal for a designer with approximately 2–4 years of professional interior design experience, who is passionate about the highly personal nature of residential design. The ideal candidate is fantastically organized, detail-oriented, and technically proficient. They will have a strong design sensibility, unique point-of-view and a desire to grow within a creative, collaborative studio. They are proactive, curious, and committed to producing thoughtful, beautifully executed work while contributing to an exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Lead Designer with the day-to-day coordination and execution of multiple design projects.
  • Prepare construction drawings in AutoCAD and 3D models in SketchUp.
  • Create rendering packages and coordinate with outside rendering consultants.
  • Develop mood boards, material palettes, presentations, and design concepts.
  • Produce furniture plans, elevations, custom furniture and millwork drawings, finish schedules, and project documentation.
  • Source furniture, lighting, finishes, fabrics, fixtures, and accessories.
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, specifications, and organized project files.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, showroom appointments, and contractor walkthroughs.
  • Prepare meeting notes, client presentations, and project deliverables.
  • Measure spaces, document existing conditions, and verify project details.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure design intent is executed successfully.
  • Make day-to-day decisions regarding sourcing, pricing, availability, and project logistics.
  • Assist with installation planning and coordinate team preparation.
  • Represent the studio at industry events and participate in continuing education opportunities.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail across drawings, specifications, schedules, and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of professional interior design experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
  • Millwork drawing experience
  • Experience preparing construction documents and custom furniture drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of residential furnishings, finishes, lighting, and materials.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative attitude and a passion for great design.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle are required, as this role involves regular travel to client sites, vendor showrooms, and project installations.
