Job Description:
As the Social Marketing Assistant, you will fill a vital role for our team and for our clients. This role requires a blend of administrative know-how and social media prowess. You will be responsible for:
- Social Media Support: You will use your intermediate to advanced knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and your extrovert-style social skills to be an arbiter of good will to grow, support the brand presence, increase engagement, and foster the online community for several of our clients. This role will also utilize a popular industry cloud-based app to upload and schedule social posts for several clients.
- Social Media Management: As you become more comfortable with our client’s brands, you will be (with guidance) tasked with creating social media and other type posts for a select group of clients.
- Admin Operations: A limited amount of answering calls, responding to emails, scheduling of meetings / resources, and bookkeeping.
- Other duties as they may be assigned that support our marketing team.
Qualifications:
- An extrovert with a history of easily striking up conversations and offering unsolicited compliments (not for us, for our client’s accounts :) )
- Understanding of basic to intermediate social media marketing concepts and demonstrated skills in working within social media business accounts
- Proven experience in office administration skills including being an intermediate to advanced user working with Microsoft Word / Google Docs, Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets, Google Gmail, Google Calendar
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accuracy
- The ability to see things from others’ perspectives (put yourself in our client’s shoes)
- Communication skills that Emily Post would be proud of
- Initiative and ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in a Mac environment
- Comfortable with iPhone
- Not intimidated by technology
- An interest in and desire to learn about the marketing and construction industries
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is preferred, but not required
- Preferring dogs over cats is preferred, but not required :)
