What are the responsibilities and job description for the INTERMEDIATE DESIGNER position at STUDIO 397 Architecture PLLC?
Under the direction of Studio 397 leadership, the Intermediate Interior Designer will contribute to the design and execution of projects from concept development through construction documentation. This role involves preparing conceptual sketches, presentation renderings, detailed technical drawings, and FF&E specifications. The designer will collaborate with manufacturers, evaluate finish materials and furnishings, and conduct site visits to inspect architectural and interior elements.
The ideal candidate will work independently with minimal supervision to perform routine architectural and interior design assignments. They will be responsible for evaluating design options, compiling relevant data, and applying standard industry techniques and procedures.
While direction is provided for complex project goals and objectives, the designer is expected to take initiative in resolving typical design challenges. Assignments may occasionally include responsibilities typical of a more senior level for professional growth. Support and guidance will be available for uncommon or highly technical issues, and work will be reviewed to ensure sound professional judgment.
This position also includes a leadership role in project delivery—helping to define and implement efficient, innovative methods for communicating design intent and project scope across all phases to meet established objectives.
