Position Overview
Studio 3 Dance Academy is seeking an energetic and passionate Hip Hop Dance Instructor to join our evening team. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of hip hop styles, enjoys working with children and teens, and is excited to help students build confidence, musicality, and performance skills in a positive and encouraging environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach hip hop classes to students of varying ages and experience levels.
- Develop lesson plans that promote age-appropriate technique, rhythm, musicality, and choreography retention.
- Foster student growth in both dance skills and self-confidence.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Choreograph routines for studio performances, showcases, and recitals as assigned.
- Maintain classroom structure and communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and studio leadership to support studio goals and events.
- Serve as a positive role model for students both inside and outside the classroom.
Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching dance or working with children is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in hip hop dance styles and technique.
- Experience with choreography and performance preparation is preferred.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of various ages and skill levels.
- Positive, energetic, and professional approach to instruction.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Availability for evening classes and occasional studio events or performances.
