As a Tumble Instructor, you will play a vital part in helping students build strength, coordination, and self-esteem while promoting healthy habits and active lifestyles.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging tumbling classes for students of various ages and skill levels, focusing on safety and skill development.
- Demonstrate proper techniques for rolls, handstands, back handsprings, aerials, tucks, etc.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols, including proper use of mats and equipment.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate achievements to motivate continued improvement.
- Assist with setting up equipment and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the training area.
- Promote teamwork, good behavior, and sportsmanship among participants to foster a positive class atmosphere.
Requirements
- Prior experience in gymnastics, tumbling, or related sports such as cheerleading is preferred.
- Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of sports coaching techniques, including behavior management and motivation strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively connect with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities while maintaining a fun and safe environment for all participants.
- Additional skills such as soccer coaching, basketball instruction, judo, karate or health club experience are considered valuable assets.
