Studio 154 Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Nashville's historic 2nd Avenue district. As we continue to grow our hotel, events, food & beverage, and rooftop experiences, we are seeking a highly motivated Assistant General Manager to help lead daily operations, drive revenue, and support the overall success of the property.

Position Summary
The Assistant General Manager serves as the second-in-command of hotel operations and acts as the General Manager's representative in their absence. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting department leaders, driving guest satisfaction, managing revenue-generating initiatives, and contributing to sales and marketing efforts that increase occupancy, event revenue, and overall profitability.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance operational excellence with business development and strategic growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesHotel Operations & Leadership
- Assist in the overall management of hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and Guest Services.
- Ensure exceptional guest service standards are maintained throughout the property.
- Conduct daily property walks to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of team members.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Act as Manager on Duty when assigned.
- Lead department meetings and ensure accountability across all teams.
Financial & Revenue Management
- Monitor daily occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and other key performance indicators.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and expense control.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Support inventory management and purchasing controls.
Group Sales & Business Development
- Assist in soliciting and securing group room blocks, corporate business, and special event bookings.
- Respond to group sales inquiries and prepare proposals and contracts.
- Develop relationships with local businesses, corporate travel planners, event organizers, and tourism partners.
- Conduct hotel site tours for prospective clients.
- Follow up on sales leads and maintain accurate records in sales tracking systems.
- Work toward established monthly and quarterly group sales goals.
- Assist in maximizing revenue opportunities through upselling guest rooms, event spaces, and rooftop experiences.
Marketing & Brand Growth
- Collaborate with the General Manager and marketing partners to execute promotional campaigns.
- Assist with social media content creation, community engagement, and special event promotion.
- Support the development and execution of hotel packages, seasonal promotions, and revenue-driving initiatives.
- Monitor online reviews and assist with reputation management efforts.
- Participate in networking events, tourism organizations, and community outreach opportunities that enhance brand awareness.
- Help identify partnership opportunities with local businesses, influencers, and event organizers.
Food & Beverage & Events Support
- Assist with the operation and growth of the Skydeck at Studio 154 Hotel.
- Support special events, live music programming, rooftop experiences, and private functions.
- Coordinate with the Food & Beverage team to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Help drive event attendance and revenue through strategic outreach and promotion.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hotel management experience required.
- Boutique hotel experience preferred.
- Experience in revenue management, sales, or business development strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with hotel PMS systems and hospitality technology platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Passion for hospitality, guest service, and business growth.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
