Students Motivated Through the Arts (SMARTS) is looking for energetic, creative, and responsible Summer Camp Counselors to join our team! This is a great opportunity for college students or aspiring educators who enjoy working with children, leading activities, and creating memorable summer experiences.
Our summer camp focuses on arts, creativity, movement, and fun learning experiences, including exciting field trips throughout the summer.

Schedule Options
Camp runs Monday – Friday with flexible shifts available:
- Before Care: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM
- Core Camp Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- After Care: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Applicants may work full-day or extended care shifts depending on availability.
What You'll Do
As a SMARTS Summer Camp Counselor, you will help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for campers. Responsibilities include:
- Supervise and engage campers throughout the day, including extended care hours.
- Lead fun activities such as arts & crafts, games, group challenges, and creative projects.
- Assist with and supervise exciting field trips.
- Help create and coordinate age-appropriate activities that keep campers active and engaged.
- Support daily camp operations and ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as needed.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Site Manager.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass State and FBI background checks for child care
- 90-hour School-Age Child Care Certification is a plus (not required)
