SMARTS Powered By Dance Makers has an immediate opening for a part time Tutor for K-5th grade students This position provides a student centered, supportive classroom that promotes compassion and tolerance, emotional security, resourcefulness, and independent critical thinking while addressing the individual academic and emotional needs of each student.

Responsibilities
- Communicate children’s accomplishments with parent
- Supervise children at work and play.
- Work with other teachers in the center to provide coverage and care.
- Practice effective communicate with center director and staff
- Ensure the safety of all students
- Create, support and/or co-lead literacy and/or math-focused events to enrich school literacy and/or math culture and climate
- Promote a positive learning environment by modeling positive peer behaviors like respect, timeliness, attendance, and listening
- Additional responsibilities may be given
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or better.
- Must enjoy working with school-age children.
- Must be dependable and a hard worker.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage and work closely with a wide range of staff members.
- Strong commitment to supporting SMARTS students and community.
- Able to pass State and FBI background checks for child care.
- Flexibility to work additional hours when necessary.
- MUST BE AVAILABLE 2-3 DAYS PER WEEK FROM 2:30 - 5:00 PM
- Must Have A Valid Driver's License.
