What You'll Do

  • Partner with families to help scholars birth through six reach meaningful developmental milestones.
  • Provide family-centered Early Intervention services in homes, childcare settings, and other natural environments.
  • Coach caregivers using everyday routines that promote communication, social-emotional development, cognitive growth, adaptive skills, and motor development.
  • Complete developmental assessments, progress monitoring, documentation, and individualized family service planning.
  • Collaborate with therapists, physicians, educators, childcare providers, and community partners.
  • Build trusting relationships with families while helping them feel confident supporting their scholar's development.

  • Has Early Intervention experience or several years of experience working with children birth through six with developmental delays or disabilities.
  • Takes pride in producing excellent work.

  • Is dependable, organized, and accountable.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (or qualifications meeting South Carolina Early Intervention requirements).

Experience working with young children and families is required.
