Position Summary
This internship is designed to allow college students and recent graduates to explore all facets of a career with Arkansas State Parks. Interns will assist with various projects in the areas of administration, maintenance, visitor services, interpretation, recreation, and natural resources.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Research, development, and implementation of a park specific presentation
• Observational journaling (Journaling what is observed and learned)
• Presenting Hospitality to the guests of Lake Dardanelle State Park
• Maintenance of the facilities.

Required Qualifications
• Be a full-time student in good standing at an Arkansas college/university at the time of application.
• Be an Arkansas resident paying in-state tuition.
• Have completed 60 hours of college credit by the time the internship begins.
• Have declared a degree of study.
• Maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
• Demonstrate coursework or knowledge related to work area.
• Have reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
• Have a declared major in Parks & Recreation, Conservation, Wildlife Management, Environmental Science, or another field related to parks
• Attend a university who will provide course credit for completion of internship

Compensation
- Living allowance - $500/week
- Commuting allowance - $50/week
All allowances are subject to applicable federal, state, and local taxes.
