Studdard Moving Group is a family owned and operated moving company that is currently seeking an experienced Local Operations Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands and carries out all daily operational responsibilities in accordance with company policies, and procedures.
- Performs job costing including labor, materials and other operational expenses.
- Interviews, hires, and trains new production employees.
- Manages production team, movers, packers, drivers and warehouse employees.
- Ensures production team complies with company policies and procedures.
- Provides ongoing input to improve service delivery in existing business and new business.
- Leads and collaborates with management to review, address and resolve customer and/or other production team issues.
- Ensures established cost, quality, and service delivery commitments are met.
- Responsible for daily and short-term forecasting/planning of personnel, equipment, and materials for each job.
- Measures and analyzes completed job assignments.
- Responsible for periodic and on demand reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Become a certified move trainer.
- Get driver qualified.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience/Knowledge
- Prior moving or transportation industry experience.
- 5-10 years operation experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- General knowledge of basic office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
- Basic Microsoft proficiency.
Skills/Abilities
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and proficiency in a fast-paced work environment.
- Able to set and adjust priorities effectively.
- Must be able to use good judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and detail-orientation.
- Solid “customer-facing” skills and interpersonal communication skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must exhibit a professional image, customer empathy, and exceptional service attitude.
