Join our dynamic team at Royal Care of Avon Park as a PRN (as-needed) Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and Speech-Language Pathologist, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse settings. In this multifaceted role, you will provide specialized therapy services to a broad patient population, including geriatric, pediatric, neurological, orthopedic, and outpatient clients. Your expertise will support recovery, improve functional independence, and enhance quality of life through tailored treatment plans. This position offers flexibility to work in various clinical environments such as inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, home health visits, and rehabilitation centers. Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical, occupational, or speech therapy needs through comprehensive evaluations aligned with clinical standards.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate discharge planning, therapeutic goals, and evidence-based interventions.
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as trigger point therapy, physiotherapy exercises, and neuromuscular re-education to promote optimal recovery.
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems while adhering to clinical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and their families on treatment strategies, home exercises, safety measures, and community resources to support ongoing recovery.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations
Qualifications
- Valid licensure or certification in physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), or speech-language pathology (SLP) as applicable in your state or country.
- Proven experience practicing in a physical therapy role within SNF, acute care, inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or home health environments.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and conditions affecting geriatrics, pediatrics, neurology, orthopedics, and community care.
- Familiarity with clinical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems).
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective care plans incorporating discharge planning and patient-centered goals.
- Excellent communication skills for working with geriatric patients—and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working with outpatient rehabilitation centers or SNF is highly desirable.
- This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
