Retail Sales Associate- Online Sales

Are you the person who can make a business come alive online? Stu's Home Improvement Outlet is looking for a Marketing & Sales Coordinator to be the face of our store on social media — and turn that online energy into real customers walking through our doors.

Position Summary
Drive foot traffic and sales by owning the store's day-to-day marketing presence and following up on leads generated from that presence. This is a hybrid marketing inside-sales role — half content creator, half appointment setter.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing / Content

• Create and post daily content across Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant platforms (photos, short videos, promotions, new inventory)
• List and manage inventory on Facebook Marketplace — pricing, descriptions, photos, renewals
• Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries across all social platforms promptly
• Build a simple monthly content calendar (sales, seasonal promos, behind-the-scenes, customer features)
• Track basic engagement metrics (reach, responses, leads generated) and report weekly
• Update our website to match our current promotions

Sales / Customer Outreach

• Respond quickly to inbound leads from social media, Marketplace, and web inquiries
• Call/text/message prospects to answer questions and move them toward a visit
• Set and confirm in-store appointments
• Greet and assist walk-in customers when needed
• Maintain a simple lead-tracking log (who was contacted, status, follow-up needed)

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience running business social media accounts (personal use doesn't count)
• Comfortable with photo/video content creation on a phone (editing apps a plus)
• Sales or customer service background, ideally with phone/appointment-setting experience
• Self-starter — this role has real autonomy and needs someone who doesn't need daily hand-holding
• Retail, home improvement, or hardware industry experience a plus but not required

What Success Looks Like (first 90 days)

• Consistent daily posting across platforms
• Marketplace listings live and refreshed regularly
• Measurable increase in inbound inquiries and booked appointments
• Increase Followers and Reviews by 25% Monthly

What you'll do:

• Post daily on multiple social media platforms — deals, new arrivals, behind-the-scenes
• List and manage our inventory on Facebook Marketplace
• Respond fast to messages and comments — no lead goes cold
• Call and follow up with interested customers, set appointments, get them in the store
• Help close the loop from "saw a post" to "made a purchase"

What we're looking for:

• Someone with real social media experience — you know how to post content that gets engagement, not just likes
• Sales instincts — you're comfortable picking up the phone and asking for the appointment
• Organized, self-motivated, and reliable — you don't need to be micromanaged
• Bonus: retail or home improvement experience

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
