Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patrols across the premises using CCTV surveillance systems and physical security checks to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Manage access control systems to verify identities, perform background checks, and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Respond swiftly to incidents by writing detailed incident reports and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as necessary.
- Perform emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols to ensure immediate assistance during crises.
- Utilize conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills to handle disputes calmly and professionally while maintaining safety.
- Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where authorized), CCTV cameras, and alarm systems in accordance with security regulations.
- Support heavy lifting or manual handling tasks when required for security setup or incident management while adhering to safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in physical security roles with a focus on surveillance, incident report writing, and emergency response procedures.
- Background in law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to operate access control systems, CCTV monitoring tools, AEDs, Tasers, and firearms responsibly.
- Strong knowledge of security regulations, compliance standards, and best practices for maintaining high-level physical security.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Certifications in first aid (including CPR), AED operation, conflict de-escalation techniques, and law enforcement procedures are preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and conduct thorough background checks when required for specific assignments.
