Geotechnical Engineer

Pay Range: $80,000 – $120,000 Annually

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with 5 years of experience to support a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and municipal projects.

Ideal candidates will bring a Professional Engineer License (P.E), strong report writing and reviewing experience, project oversight capabilities, and a solid geotechnical background.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals, scopes, and project budgets for upcoming work
• Manage geotechnical projects from initiation through completion
• Perform and oversee geotechnical analyses and write detailed geotechnical reports
• Review, mentor, and co-sign reports prepared by other engineers
• Track project budgets, invoicing, and overall financial performance
• Coordinate and schedule field crews, drilling operations, and technicians
• Provide technical recommendations to drilling crews, field staff, and clients
• Serve as a technical resource for internal teams and external stakeholders
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 5–15 years of geotechnical engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
• Experience with geotechnical reports for City of Chicago projects would be a plus
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
