Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team at STS Trailer & Truck Equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems used in the transportation and trailer industries. The ideal candidate will have experience working with refrigeration units on commercial vehicles, trailers, and other transportation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration units and components on trailers and trucks.

· Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with refrigeration systems, including temperature control, electrical systems, and mechanical components.

· Perform regular maintenance and inspections to ensure the efficiency and reliability of refrigeration systems.

· Replace faulty parts and perform repairs using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

· Work with service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely completion of jobs.

· Maintain accurate service records, including parts used, labor hours, and service performed.

· Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

· Keep up to date with industry trends and new refrigeration technologies.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in refrigeration or HVAC preferred.

· Previous experience as a Refrigeration Mechanic, ideally in the transportation or trailer industry.

· Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, including electrical and mechanical components.

· Ability to troubleshoot and repair refrigeration systems efficiently.

· Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong communication skills and excellent customer service abilities.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to work in a variety of environments, including outdoor and indoor settings.

· Ability to crouch, kneel, and bend to work on vehicles and trailers.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
