Due to our continued growth, STS Technical Services has an immediate opening for a 2nd Shift Weld Supervisor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We are seeking a motivated leader to oversee our team of MIG welders and fabricators, ensuring efficiency, safety, and high-quality production standards.
Hiring Note: We are seeking bilingual candidates for this role. Those who speak both English and Spanish.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of MIG welders and fabricators.
- Delegate job responsibilities effectively to optimize workflow.
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to meet manufacturing requirements and schedules.
- Assist with hands-on tasks as needed to complete assignments.
- Inspect products and equipment for defects or malfunctions to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety procedures.
- Communicate process changes and updates to employees to ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing facility working on the shop floor.
- Must be bilingual, English and Spanish.
- Strong ability to measure, compare, and perform necessary calculations to ensure compliance with engineering or sales specifications.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience working with steel is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience leading and motivating a team to meet production goals accurately and on time.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
